Hypereosinophilic Syndrome, HES or Hypereosinophilia is a rare blood disorder.

Patients with HES show a marked increase in eosinophils - a type of white blood cell - in their bloodstream. They typically suffer symptoms of a wide variety of other illnesses - such as colds, the flu or rashes.

While this makes the disorder hard to diagnose, when diagnosed correctly and actively managed, patients can lead healthy lives.

I am Dr. Finella Brito-Babapulle, a London-based Hematologist.

I have researched Hypereosinophilic Syndrome for the past twenty years. I created this website so patients suffering from this disease, specifically HES, can connect with the leading research of the day and with each other.
